GJA to lead media to celebrate World Press Freedom Day on 3rd May As part of the Ghana Journalists Association’s (GJA) efforts to encourage the use of media to promote freedom, peace and democracy, it will lead the Ghanaian media to celebrate World Press Freedom Day on 3rd May with three major events. The celebration will include two public lectures, a symposium and flag-raising ceremony. In a statement, the GJA President, Roland Affail Monney, said the celebration will focus on the need for both traditional and social media to help instill in the Ghanaian body politic, the spirit of defence of the truth, dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect.
