AG voices concern about delays in registration of state-owned investments on investment register

The Auditor General has expressed concern about delays in the registration of state-owned investments on the investment register of the Controller and Accountant General's Department.

The investment register is not immediately updated when government acquires shares in companies. Problems with dividend payments to the state by some companies have also been identified by the Auditors.

These came up when the Controller and Accountant General appeared before the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament.
