2015 up-coming MAY Day on Friday

The President alone cannot solve the power problem facing the country, which is why there are professors and technocrats who are trained to help solve some of the challenges that are likely to face the country. 

The Secretary General of the Ghana Federation of Labour, Abraham Koomson who said this on Radio Ghana's Current Affairs Programme, Focus noted that some of these people criticize but offer no solutions to some of the difficulties facing the country. 

He said it is high time they adopted alternative means of solving the energy crisis.

Mr. Koomson also touched on the issue of productivity.  

He said organised labour is prepared and ready to give of their best in all sectors of the economy.

Also on the programme was the Deputy General Secretary, Agricultural Workers Union of TUC Edward Kareweh.  

Mr. Kareweh said it is important that labour Unions seek the welfare of employees. 

Mr. Kareweh said Trade Unions are doing all they can to help in solving the energy crises and to ensure that they also negotiate on behalf of workers.
