€10m loan to assist SMEs yet to be fully disbursed

The more than € 10 million Ioan from the Italian government to assist SME's is yet to be fully disbursed.  

The amount which is with the Bank of Ghana is disbursed to banks of SME's after approval by the Private Sector Development Fund.  

According to the PRO of the Oil Palm Development Association, Maxwell Commey, accessing the amounts authourised from the bankers of the SMEs is frustrating. 

He said getting a soft Loan from the fund is better than contracting direct loans from the banks.
