Traditional leaders urged to create avenues to care for the vulnerable in society 

The First Lady, Mrs Lordina Mahama, has challenged traditional leaders to use their authority and influence to create avenues that protect and care for the vulnerable in society. She said with this the vulnerable will be cushioned to improve their livelihoods.

The First Lady was launching a Charity Foundation established by the Omanhemaa of the Sunyani Traditional Area, Nana Yaa Nyamaa.

She applauded the initiative and pledged her support to the Foundation which she said will help augment government's efforts of achieving the MDG one, which is aimed at alleviating poverty.

Mrs Lordina Mahama called on philanthropists and organisations to support the foundation. She said she is looking forward to the Charity Foundation to create a pool of advocates to champion and support the noble course of sharing and giving.
