Harvesting and post-harvest management a critical area in agriculture

A member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Agriculture Bright Demordzi says one critical area in agriculture is harvesting and post-harvest management.  

He told Radio Ghana that educational exercise must be periodically organized to enable farmers know the consequences of poor post-harvest management. 

There is also the need for mechanisation in harvesting to maintain the internationally acceptable aflatoxin in cereals. 

Mr Demordzi was reacting to what the Ghanaian farmer should do to avoid EU ban of cereals from Ghana.
