Investigate and bring perpetrators of the heinous murder of Mahama Adams to justice The Coalition for the Defence of Equal Citizens (CODEC) says it has learnt with utter shock and dismay the heinous killing of the Upper East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mahama Adams. A statement issued by CODEC and Signed by its convener, Godwin Edudzi Tameklo said “CODEC which strongly upholds and believes in the constitutional provisions of equal citizenship, which guarantees equal rights including that to life, will like to hereby encourage the police and other national security agencies to do all that is possible to treat this matter as a criminal matter and not a political one and to bring the perpetrators of this dastardly act to justice.” “CODEC believes that this incident is shameful and peels off from the progress made in the advancement of our democracy. Political strife and disagreement should never degenerate into violence of any nature. We therefore call on all actors on the political stage to conduct themselves in a manner that will constantly promote and sustain the peace and legacy of our democratic dispensation.” “CODEC also condoles with the family on their untimely loss and prays that the soul of Mr Mahama Adams finds rest with his maker.” GBC
