Prioritise investment in libraries - Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyeman

The Minister of Education, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman has challenged African countries to prioritize investment in libraries in order to keep them operational. 

Professor Opoku-Agyeman said African's track record in maintaining libraries does not paint a good image.

She said libraries should be made accessible to all and urged African information professionals to be innovative in the application of technology in their field.

She made these remarks at the first African Library and Information Association and Institutions (AFLIA) conference in Accra.
