Seth Kwame Boateng of Joy FM Adjudged 2015 Best Journalist 


Seth Kwame Boateng of the Multi Media Group Joy FM has been adjudged as the 2015 GJA/PAV Ansah journalist of the year.
 
This brings to four the number of individuals from the group who have won the journalist of the year. GBC's Rebecca Ekpe won the local governance category award, Rebecca Awuah of GTV won the Arts and Tourism Awards, Abdul Hayi Momeen won the Human Right Category and Nii Adjei Klu of GBC-Obonu won the health category for electronic award. 
 
The four expressed joy at the awards given to them and promised to work hard for more awards.
 
President John Dramani Mahama who was the Special Guest of Honour at the awards ceremony presented the P.A.V. Ansah award to Seth Kwame Boateng.

A citation accompanying the award said he has been consistent with his research on stories.

Addressing the gathering,  President John Mahama saluted all Ghanaian journalists for their contributions towards building democracy.  He however, expressed worry about the rise in falsehood that is generated on social media. 

President Mahama, also appealed to the striking doctors to resume work as negotiations go on.  He said the posture adopted by the doctors does not augur well for development especially with the health of the citizenry at stake. 

President Mahama also re-emphasized his commitment to fix the energy crises. He has therefore called on the media to help educate the public on the conservation of energy.
