Graduate unemployment projected to increase by seventy-one thousand this year President of the Central University College, Professor Kwesi Yankah, has predicted that the number of graduate unemployed would likely surge to two hundred and 71,thousand this year, up from the existing figure of two hundred thousand. The number according to Prof. Yankah will swell up by 71 thousand, including new graduates to be churned out during the year. The grim unemployment situation, he noted, is becoming deep-rooted with even final year students seeking internships returning home empty handed, as industries and work places remain choked. Professor Yankah, made the prediction during the 11th congregation of the Ghana Technology University where 240 students graduated with various postgraduate degrees. GBC
