Election of MMDCE’s will ensure good governance - Prof. Agyeman-Duah

A former UN Official on Governance, Prof. Baffuor Agyeman-Duah, says the election of District and Municipal Chief Executives would ensure good governance and efficient management of resources at the local level.

Speaking to Radio Ghana Prof. Agyeman Dua, said the fears being entertained by politicians that elected Chief Executives may not hold allegiance to the Executive is not justified. 

He further explained the rationale for the decentralisation process. He maintained that there is overwhelming desire for the election of DCE's.
