Over 150 gambling machines seized at Ashaiman

About one hundred and fifty-six (156) Chinese Gambling Machines have been seized by the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly.

The move is to end the high incidence of school children’s engagement in gambling within the Municipality. 

Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, the Ashaiman Municipal Chief Executive, Ibrahim Baidoo said it is disheartening to see children in school uniform openly gambling at the various centres. 

He expressed worry over the spate at which children of school going age are currently turning to gambling to the detriment of their education.
