Bolgatanga institutes stringent measures to address filth The Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly has instituted stringent measures to rid the Municipality of filth. In view of this, a joint task force comprising the Rent Control Division, the assembly and the Municipal Environmental and Sanitation Agency has arrested a number of people cited for various sanitation offences. However, the Bolgatanga Magistrate court will from next week prosecute these individuals to serve as deterrent to others. The Municipal Environmental Health Officer, Leo Logochura, who disclosed this to Radio Ghana said the assembly will not relent in its effort to ensure good sanitary practices, adding that the assembly bye laws will be revisited and re-enforced to the latter. He made this known at today's sanitation day exercise held at the various Zongo communities within the Municipality. GBC
