Two die in motor accident on Tamale-Kintampo Highway Two persons have died and one in critical condition in a motor accident on the Tamale- Kintampo Highway. The accident reportedly occurred last night at Damango junction near Yapei in the Central Gonja district of the Northern region. The accident involved a heavy loaded truck with registration number 11 HL602 believed to be traveling to Burkina Faso and a Mini Van with registration number GN-6166-12 also heading towards Tamale. An eyewitness Mohammed Abdul Rahman who confirmed the incident to Radio Ghana said both vehicles were traveling up North when the Van run into the truck at a Police barrier. The deceased have been deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue whiles the injured is receiving treatment at the facility. In a related development, a benz bus with registration number AS 7597_13 carrying passengers has caught fire and is burnt beyond recognition at the sakasaka shell filling station in Tamale. The swift intervention of the Ghana National Fire Service helped to quench the fire from spreading to the filling station. GBC
