Lawyers for alleged murderer of Adams Mahama file for bail Lawyers for the alleged murderer of the Upper East Regional Chairman of the NPP, Adams Mahama have filed for bail for Gregory Afoko at the High Court. The Court has accordingly fixed the 21st of this month the movement of the motion for bail. The defence lawyers have made several unsuccessful attempts to secure bail for Afoko who has been in custody since May, 2015. He was in BNI custody but the Court at its last sitting ordered that he should be sent into prison custody. The Presiding Judge, Justice Lawrence Mensah also ordered the prosecution to give pictures of the crime scene and witness statements to the defense team. Mr Adams died in May, last year after he suffered an acid attack.Substantive hearing of the case will begin on the 28th of this month. GBC
