Group kicks against construction on Sakumono Ramsar site

The Chief Executive Officer of the Global Green Environmental Network, David Amankwaah, has expressed concern about the construction of estates at the Sakumo Ramsar Site.

This comes on the heels of floods in parts of Tema, which has affected the Site. 

He told GBC’s Radio Ghana that reports of the development of   Estates at the Site, will affect the bird species which come there as well as the residents nearby. 

He also spoke on the dredging of the Sakumo Lagoon to prevent flooding in the Tema Metropolis.
