The Daily Graphic raises concerns about uncertainties surrounding the supposed new voting date expected to be on November 7. The paper says although the EC has tentatively set the new voting date for November 7, the whole country awaits confirmation from the EC to put their minds at ease. It says the EC's failure to communicate to the 26 political parties, those who are qualified and have met all requirements to contest in this year's elections adds up to the uncertainties surrounding the elections. The paper urges the commission to shake the country from its slumber and address all relevant issues pertaining to this year's elections, since it is just 5 months away.

Ghana joined the world to mark the World Day Against Child Labour June 12 and the Ghanaian Times wonders if anything has changed about child labour in the country. The paper discusses the difference that exists between the many kinds of work children do which in turn affects them at the end of the day.  The paper wonders whether after 14 years of consistently marking the day any significant improvement has been made. The Times says available statistics in the Child Labour Report released by the Statistical Service in 2014 indicates that 21.8 percent of children aged 5-17 years, about 1.9 million are still engaged in hazardous forms of child Labour in the country. Though the paper commends efforts being made by government and Social Mobilization Partners Against Child Labour to eliminate the scourge, it urges them to do more to protect children against the violation of their rights.
