Toddler snatched by alligator at Disney is dead – police

Police in Florida have said there is now ‘‘no question’‘ a boy snatched by an alligator near a Disney World hotel in Orlando is dead.

Officials say the search to recover the 2-year-old toddler’s body is continuing after he was dragged into the water while paddling beside a lagoon.

The boy’s father was reportedly unable to save his son, despite attempting to wrestle him from the alligator’s jaws.

The attack occurred late on Tuesday at Disney’s Grand Floridian resort and Spa.

At least four alligators have so far been captured and killed from the lake where the incident occured but the body has yet to be recovered.
