Police Service asked to work to correct negative image 

The Police Service has been charged to respond to security challenges in a way that will enhance the country's image. 

The service has also been asked to be watchful of activities of private security companies.

The Minister for the Interior, Prosper Bani, made the call at the National Conference of the Police Command in Accra. 

He said, with the untiring efforts and intervention of Security Agencies, the 2008 elections which nearly plunged the country into chaos was addressed.  

Mr. Bani however reminded the security agencies of the upcoming election and the need to work to ensure peace.

Mr. Bani also spoke about the negative complaints about the police, which need to be addressed.
