Christian Council congratulates Muslims on Eid celebration 

The Christian Council of Ghana has extended best wishes to the Muslim community in Ghana and the world on the celebration of Eid al Adha. 

Speaking to GBC's Radio Ghana, the General Secretary of the Council, Rev. Dr. Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong, said the occasion presents an opportunity for the Muslims to renew their faith and desire for sacrifice. 

He challenged both Muslims and world leaders to show greater commitment towards ensuring peace in Syria.

Rev. Dr. Opuni-Frimpong said the Christian Council will continue to engage other religious sects to help maintain the peace being enjoyed before, during and after the election. 

He noted that though challenges arise sometimes, these will not deter the Council from helping to safeguard the nation's integrity.
