The Daily Graphic lauds the newly introduced Bus Rapid Transit System, BRT. While the paper welcomes the move as good news for commuters, it admits that there is more work to be done to ensure its smooth operation. The paper is therefore proposing that for the BRT System to be productive, dedicated lanes should be created for the buses so they can ensure faster and smoother travel experience. The Daily Graphic says going forward, there should be plans for road network planning and such plans should take into consideration the motorisation and growth rates, as well as the population among other factors. The paper hopes that the BRT System when fully operational will help alleviate some of the challenges the commuters face.

The Ghanaian Times is worried about the violent activities of groups of masquerading youths calling themselves land guards in certain parts of the country, which has resulted in loss of lives and property. It raises concerns that these violent acts appear to happen in the full glare of the police who surprisingly turn a blind eye to it. The Times points to instances in Kasoa and other parts of the Central Region where residents are said to have been attacked by land guards in the presence of the police, with reports indicating that, the police know these land guards and are aware of their activities but do nothing. The paper calls on the IGP to purge the Kasoa police personnel, who according to the paper are working against the interest of the people and allowing thugs to intimidate the people of Akraman.
