Lack of effective negotiation tool for African diplomats is a serious drawback- Dr. Chinery-Hesse

A member of the African Union Panel of the Wise Dr. Mary Chinery-Hesse says the lack of effective negotiation tool for African diplomats is a serious drawback when it comes to engaging institutions, partners for trade and foreign relations.

Dr. Chinery-Hesse in an interview with Radio Ghana said advancement in technology and the speed at which the world is developing calls for innovative ways to harness the best talents on the continent to get the best out of international negotiations.

Dr. Chinery-Hesse who is also a former Deputy Director General of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) explains some of the short-comings she identified during their tenure of office.
