Egyptian Ambassador to Ghana pays courtesy call on GBC The Egyptian Agency for Cooperation and Supreme Council of Women in Egypt is to introduce an empowerment programme for African women in the media. The initiative is to enhance existing programmes for journalists. This was disclosed by the Egyptian Ambassador to Ghana, Mohammed Heider when he paid a courtesy call on the management of GBC in Accra. He said the visit is intended to explore avenues to deepen bilateral relations between the two countries. Mr Heider commended Ghana for the gains it has made in its democratic dispensation. He said the feat has given Egypt the impetus to pursue those ideals by learning from Ghana's best practices. The Acting Director General of GBC, Mrs Francisca Ashietey-Odunton welcomed the gesture, saying GBC will come up with proposals to further strengthen ties with Egypt as well as take advantage of opportunities.
