Election observers asked not to allow political affiliations to influence reportage

It is the eve of the country's general election.

And no political party activities are expected to take place Tuesday as part of the electoral regulations. 

The Chairman of the Civic Forum Initiative, Major-General Nii Carl Coleman is appealing to domestic election observers not to allow political affiliations to influence their reportage on Election Day.  

Maj-Gen Coleman said relaying biased information has the potential to affect the credibility of the election. 

He also advised receiving agencies of this information to check before putting it out in the public domain.

General Coleman said this at the Lunch of the National Civil Society Election Situation Room in Accra.
