GES declares December 7 “Day Off” for schools

December 7 has been declared an off-day for all Basic and Second Cycle schools across the country.

This is to allow students who have turned 18 as well as teachers to vote.

It is also to make sure that schools whose premises are polling centers can be used without any disturbance to academic work.
 
This was contained in a statement issued by the Director General of the Ghana Education Service, Jacob Kor.

It is however not clear whether the directive affects private schools.
