Road to Ghana’s President-elect Residence Declared Security Zone, Closed to Public The road in front of the President elect, Nana Akufo Addo's residence at Nima, in Accra has been closed to traffic. The Nima Divisional Police Commander, ACP Vance Gariba, said the area has become a security zone. He said it is a normal international practice that once a presidential candidate is elected steps are taken to protect him. He said National Security and State Protocol are to ensure that the area is secured. ACP Gariba appealed to the public, especially commuters, traders and other road users to bear with the closure. GBC
