Transition Team To Begin Sitting Today 

The transition team will officially begin work today (December, 14). 

The 16-member team is expected to account for government resources, agree on the deadlines for the vacation of official residences by government officers and payment of benefits. 

Even before it starts work concerns have been raised about some challenges the process might face. 

The Administrator-General has said his office which was supposed to facilitate the process has, all this while, lacked basic resources and severely under-staffed. 

It also lacked vehicles to make them mobile. Due to this, the Office of the Administrator-General resorts to the use of illegal commercial motorbikes popularly known as ‘okada’ to undertake its activities. 

His comments have been corroborated by a governance fellow at the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), Professor Ransford Gyampoh.
