Supreme court adjourns Amidu-Woyome case to January 26 The Supreme Court has adjourned to the 26th of next month to hear the case between former Attorney General Martin Amidu and businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome. The sole judge hearing the case, Justice Anin Yeboah adjourned to await another decision of the court on a motion seeking interpretation as to whether a sole judge could interpret constitutional matters. Hearing of that motion has been fixed for the 10th of next month. The motion which was filed by a lawyer, David Ametepe is challenging the ruling of the court to allow Mr. Amidu to orally cross examine Woyome and wants that decision by Justice Anin Yeboah decision set aside. Mr. Ametepe claims that under the Constitution, a private person does not have the capacity to initiate or orally examine a judgment debtor or levy any execution process in respect of a judgment in which the State is the judgment creditor. Meanwhile, e the court has stayed proceedings on the intended cross examination of Mr. Woyome by Mr. Amidu. GBC
