Sekondi Fishing Harbour Expansion project: Japan Embassy Delegation visit facility Work on a twenty million U.S. dollars Japanese Government funded Sekondi Fishing Harbor Expansion project is progressing steadily. Already, work which commenced in December 2015 and expected to be completed by June 30, 2018 is 40 percent complete. This came up when a delegation from the Embassy of Japan in Ghana paid a working visit to the facility which was originally funded and built under the Japan International Cooperation Agency, JICA , fifteen years ago. The on-going expansion works is to strengthen the capacity and functions of the Sekondi Fishing Harbor through improvement and expansion of Harbour facilities for promoting efficient coastal fisheries operations.
