Labour Expert Calls For Sanctions Against TV 3 For Dismissing Workers Over Industrial Agitation Labour Expert, Austin Gamey says he is disappointed that TV3 network limited dismissed more than 30 workers due to industrial agitation. Speaking on Radio Ghana's Current Affairs Program, "Behind the News", Mr. Gamey said the labour law frowns on that decision and called for proper sanctions on the company. For his part, the president of the Ghana Journalists Association, (GJA), Affail Monney said the dismissals occurred at the blind side of the Association otherwise they could have stopped it. It would be recalled that more than 30 workers, TV3, have been dismissed on Tuesday, for protests following stalled negotiations on end of service benefits at a meeting held with management on February 7, 2017. According to reports, at that meeting, the workers claimed, a proposal was tabled by the management relating to the ESB to which they (workers) will be entitled to some package when they leave the company. The workers say they found the proposal unacceptable and therefore made their concerns known. GBC
