Journey to Ghana’s Independence: Private Odartey Lamptey Memorial JHS

28th February 1948 marked the beginning of the long struggle for Ghana's independence. In this yearly commemoration, the name Private Odartey Lamptey comes up. He was one of the three unarmed ex-servicemen who were killed when they took part in the march for the payment of their pensions.
