20 Footer Container Loaded With Sacks Of Sugar Topples Over Third Tier Of Circle Interchange A DAF trailer with registration number GT 5557-U carrying two 20-footer containers loaded with sacks of sugar, allegedly lost control of the steering wheel causing the containers to fall off the third tier of Kwame Nkrumah Interchange. One of the containers fell over the interchange onto a sprinter bus with registration number GE 7911-U and a bus with registration number GR 3094-S. An eye witness said although no causality was recorded, none of the drivers involved in the accident was around to comment. The occupants of the two vehicles according to the eyewitness, managed to escape unhurt before the container fell on the vehicles. Meanwhile, one of the containers is said to be dangerously hanging on the fringes of the interchange while personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, the Ghana Ambulance Service, the Traffic Management Team and the police were at the scene to manage the situation. The accident, which happened around 1730 hours on Wednesday, attracted large crowd to the scene. GBC
