Gov’t To Kick Start Marine Drive Tourism Project

The government will this year kick start the Marine Drive Tourism Investment Project covering 240 acres of land along the beach of Accra. 

Delivering this year's budget in Accra, Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta, stated that the project will cover the coastal line from Osu Christiansburg Castle to the Arts Centre. 

"This project will transform the beach area into a tourism enclave and create jobs for our teeming youth," the Minister stated. 

He added that the Ministry will partner the private sector to develop the Afua Sutherland Park into an ultra-modern world class park. 

These form part of government's plans for the tourism sector outlined by the Finance Minister in maiden budget of the Akufo-Addo led government.
