Appointments of IGP, others confirmed 

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has in consultation with the Council of State confirmed the appointments of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), David Asante Apeatu, Chief of Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces, Major-General Obed Boamah Akwa and Chief of Army Staff, Major-General William Azure Ayando. 

A statement signed by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, said this is in pursuant of Articles 202 and 212 of the Constitution.
