Outcry over number of Ministers and Deputies 

There has been public outcry on the number of ministers and their deputies which now stands at 110. 

The breakdown is as follows, thirty six substantive Ministers, ten Regional Ministers and their Deputies, four Ministers of state at the Presidency and fifty Deputy Ministers. 

But the Minister of Information, Mustapha Hamid has justified the appointment of Ministers and Deputy Ministers by President Akufo-Addo. 

Mr. Hamid indicated that the appointments are in line with the President's agenda of protecting the public purse, and deliver the programme on national transformation. 

He denied that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the campaign promised a lean government.
