Information Minister justifies appointment of 110 Ministers

The Minister of Information, Mustapha Hamid, has justified the appointment of Ministers and Deputy Ministers by President Akufo-Addo. 

Mr. Hamid indicated that the appointments are in line with the President's agenda of protecting the public purse, and deliver the programme on national transformation. 

The Minister said this at a press conference in Accra on Wednesday (March, 15). 

He denied that the New Patriotic Party (NPP), during the campaign promised a lean government.

The number of ministers and their deputies now stands at 110. 

The breakdown is as follows, thirty six substantive Ministers, ten Regional Ministers and their Deputies, four Ministers of state at the Presidency and fifty Deputy Ministers.
