The Daily Graphic calls for calm on the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) front. The paper says it is no doubt that, developments on the GJA’s front over the last two weeks or so has led to cracks within the rank and file of the association. The paper holds the view that, certainly during elections factions develop within the body politic, but for peace and tranquility to prevail, steps must be taken to heal the wounds of divisions instead of being torn to pieces. The Daily Graphic believes that the challenges that have be devilled the GJA can be resolved if the parties involved in the dispute are willing to keep the association together. It urges all members to iron issues that threaten to put the GJA to sleep.

The Ghanaian Times says the proposed electronic procurement system is a timely intervention. This is because it will check the huge sums of public funds that are siphoned by corrupt procurement officials and Chief Executives. According to the Times, the introduction of the electronic system must not be unduly delayed. It adds that the country needs to progress to higher levels and this is one of the areas that needs to be rectified to sanitise and bring improvement into the system.
