Assault on police officer: Accra Circuit Court issues warrant for arrest 

An Accra Circuit court has issued a warrant for the arrest of a former policeman, Mumuni Jabil for assaulting a serving officer, ASP Nanka Bruce.
 
The assault took place on January 9, this year.
 
Briefing Parliament on the incident, the Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery said ASP Nanka Bruce, who is the Director of VVIP unit at the Flagstaff House made a report on the incident the same day.

Mr Dery said the matter is currently under investigation by the Police CID and efforts are being made to arrest Mumuni Jabil and an accomplice, Abu.
