BoG dismisses evil perception associated with tactile marks on commemorative GH¢5 note The Bank of Ghana, has assured Ghanaians that the nine marks, in groups of three at the left and right sides on the front of the new commemorative five Ghana Cedi notes are not the "Mark of the Beast" as some would want to believe but are tactile marks designed to help the visually impaired to recognize the new note. The Chief Engineer of Currency Issues of the bank, Dominic Owusu, stated this at a briefing on the new notes, in Sunyani. The new notes have been released to commemorate 60 years of the Central Bank's operations in Ghana. GBC
