Former President Mahama defends young appointees in his government Former President John Mahama has taken responsibility for the NDC's defeat in last December’s election. He said as the General who led the party into battle, he takes the “ultimate responsibility for the loss. It has been a blame game with some supporters of the party pointing accusing fingers at certain party members for their acts of omission and commission which led to the party’s defeat. A Committee was set up headed by Prof. Kwesi Botchway to investigate the reasons behind the party’s defeat. But before the contents of the Committee's report are made public, the former President at a meeting with his former appointees today (April 11), called on all those aggrieved to direct their anger at him because he led the party into the 2016 election. The former President was unhappy that some members refused to take advantage of the Prof. Botchway Committee and are rather resorting to the media to wash their dirty linen in public. Former President Mahama also reiterated that the cause of the party's loss is multifaceted.
