Regent of Dagbon condemns violence at Agbogbloshie


The Regent of Dagbon, Kampakuya-Na Andani Yakubu Abdulai has condemned Tuesday’s violent clashes at Agbogbloshie.
 
He described the clashes as acts of lawlessness and criminal that must be condemned by all and sundry. 

He however, described as unacceptable, attempts to associate ethnicity to the violence. 

He said as the Acting President of the Dagbon Traditional Council, it is important to reiterate the cordial relationship that exists between Konkombas and Dagombas, emphasizing that the two ethnic groups live in peace and are not at war.

Issah Mamudu is the Legal Advisor to the Regent of Dagbon. He has been speaking more on this issue with Bubu Klinogo.

Mr. Mamudu said even though the authorities of the AMA have the power to relocate residents of slum communities like Agbogbloshie and Old Fadama, also known as Sodom and Gomorah, that must be done with human face.
