Zimbabwe marks 37 years of Independence amidst economic turmoil

Zimbabwe is marking 37 years of independence today.
 
Reports say the economy is in a very bad state and officials of the Zanu-PF party are at each other's throats. 

As a result, Zimbabweans in London are planning to hold  a demonstration against the event.

Nevertheless, the usual Independence Day parade and a speech by President Robert Mugabe will be held at the National Sports Stadium.
