Zim man jailed for repeatedly raping employer's 11-year-old daughter A Zimbabwean man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for repeatedly raping his employer’s 11-year-old daughter and buying her silence with a one dollar bribe. Andrew Gumbo, 19, pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared in court. Magistrate Morgan Nemadire sentenced the rapist to 10 years behind bars however, two years of the sentence will be suspended on condition of good behaviour. The court heard that, sometime in May last year, Gumbo had proposed his love to the unnamed young girl, who at the time was 10-years-old. It was revealed that Gumbo would then lure the young girl to his place, where he would rape her, and then give her a $1 to keep quiet. Gumbo was caught in the act on March 18, 2017, by the girl’s sister, who then told the girl’s mother. The young girl then revealed what Gumbo had been doing to her, leading to his arrest.
