Rainstorm renders hundreds homeless at Zabzugu 

A rainstorm hit the Zabzugu township last night, destroying over fifty houses and rendering hundreds homeless.  

The storm started about 6pm and lasted several hours. Some of the areas affected include the Zabzugu market. 

In an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, the District NADMO coordinator, Yahya Zakaria said the organisation is still assessing the level of destruction.  

He said in some cases victims in entire households now occupy just a single room.
