Council of State not a dormant body - Dr Margaret Amoakohene A Member of the Council of State, Dr Margaret Ivy Amoakohene, has described the perception that the Council of State is a dormant body, as a misplaced perception. She described the work of Members of the Council as serious business, adding that, members meet at least 3 times a week to deliberate on issues. Dr Ivy Amoakohene made the comments when the Old Girls Association of the St. Francis of Assisi Girls Secondary school called on her to congratulate her on her elevation to the Council of State. As an old girl herself, she was grateful and promised to render selfless service to the nation in her capacity as a member of the advisory board to the President. Dr Margaret Ivy Amoakohene was also presented with a Citation, which was read by President of the Old Girls Association of the school, Fati Seidu. The Association also used the opportunity to inform Dr Amoakohene of plans to celebrate the School's 60th anniversary which is in two years time. GBC
