The  Ghanaian Times is concerned about the numerous fire incidents in the country. The paper says the time has come to deal with avoidable fire outbreaks which have become a regular occurrence with thousands of lives and millions of cedis lost every year. The Times advises the public to be extra careful at all times to avoid such fire outbreaks by adhering to safety rules. 

The Today newspaper calls on Ghanaians to support President Akufo-Addo to make Accra the cleanest city on the continent by 2020. It notes that this is one important promise it would want to monitor to ensure that the President's dream is met. The paper says since similar commitments towards ridding Accra of filth failed, it is imperative for all Ghanaians to do their bit to make pledge come true. It adds that a clean and healthy Accra will inure immensely not only to the benefit of Ghanaians but foreigners as well.

The Daily Heritage applauds the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu and the Okyehene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin for demonstrating their commitment to promote the local industry by acquiring Kantanka Vehicles manufactured by the Kantanka Automobile Company. The paper commends the two venerable traditional leaders for the total display of trust in a Ghanaian Company. The Heritage  however urges the Kantanka Automobile Company to consider manufacturing moderate and affordable cars.
