Ivorian delegation to meet Foreign Affairs Ministry Over polluted shared water sources

A delegation from Cote d' Ivoire will be meeting the Minister of Foreign Affairs over the pollution of shared water resources. 

A Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Benito Owusu Bio said this at a durbar in Prestea-Heman in the Western Region to explain the Multilateral Mining Integrated Project, MMIP. 

Ghana shares two rivers, Tano and Bia with Cote d'Ivoire. Following illegal mining activities these river are heavily polluted. 

As much as government of Ghana is worried about the issue, the Ivorian government has expressed similar concern to the Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Prof Kwabena Frimpong Boateng when he visited the country about a month ago.

To address the issues diplomatically, a delegation from Cote d'Ivoire will be in Ghana.
