UWR: Chiefs urged to support ‘Planting for Food and Jobs’ programme

Chiefs in the Upper West Region are being encouraged to take keen interest in, and support government’s ‘Planting for Food and Jobs programme’ by releasing land to people for the purpose. 

The programme, when well implemented will not only make Ghana a self-sufficient food producer but also enable it to export the surplus for foreign exchange. 

Upper West Regional Minister, Sulemana Alhassan, made the appeal when he called on some Paramount Chiefs in the Region as part of his familiarisation tour of the Region.
