Ashanti REGSEC meets following clashes between Fulani Herdsmen and joint Military-Police team

The Ashanti Regional Security Council is holding an emergency meeting following Monday’s gun clashes between some Fulani herdsmen and a joint Military-Police team. 

Two members of the team were shot by the Fulani herdsmen after responding to a distress call from a woman whose farm was being destroyed by cattle. 

Speaking to Radio Ghana's Felix Cofie, the Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Juliana Obeng, said three re-enforcement teams made up of the Police and Military have been sent to Agogo to maintain the peace.
