All Port Services To Be Automated By End Of 2018

All services at the Ports, including cargo and vessel handling, are to be automated by the end of the year.

The Director-General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), Paul Asare Ansah who revealed this at a media interaction in Tema said this forms part of measures to reduce corruption at the ports and increase revenue. 

Mr Asare Ansah said the GPHA performed creditably last year making excess revenue of one-point-one billion cedis. 

He explained that the Authority also handled two million more vessles than it did in 2016.
